I don't have a whole lot to go on at the moment, aside from the fact that Hamburg is the second largest trading port in Europe. One of the major divergences that this will bring is that there will more than likely be a elven trade mission in the area, maybe even a specific shipyard for them. Certainly you might have a hundred or so elves squeezed into a small quarter of the city, doing elf stuff.
If it's such a large trade hub, being so far inland would probably mean that the dwarves are present in the city aswell, managing trade and manufacture of ore and processed materials. They more than likely bought the land and built their own buildings, which stand out as sqaut, square stone block shaped buildings compared with the leaning medieval town houses. This might be close to the dock, but dwarves are not hugely happy about water, so more than likely they paid top dollar for the highest, dryest land in the city.
Waaaaaait a second, I'm on a tangent pony!
