To try and get some better practices from the start (and save some work later on) I've created a couple of basic pages.
The easiest way to work the wiki should be to create content pages and then bring up anything you want to in the forum. As a demonstration of my basic idea I've created 3 pages from 3 forum posts. Elves, Dwarves and Magic (which is a category page. I also added two more category pages for all categories and Races.
This is where basic wiki syntax comes in. Any pages you want to link to (in the forum or the wiki) should be enclosed in triple brackets.
[[[category:all]]]
gives all.
To make tracking stuff easier we should try as much as possible to list the categories things belong to.
This means adding the following block of code to the bottom of pages:
++ Categories:
[[[category:all]]]
Creation of category pages is slightly simpler, but I can go into that in a later post. Although if your curious you can just edit the category page themselves to see what I've done.
This has been a bit of a ramble. What do people think?
